2019 National Walk & Bike to School Event

Students throughout the Town of Windsor are invited to participate in the annual National Walk & Bike to School Day on May 8, 2019, and again in October. The 2019 spring event boasted over 4,500 schools registered across the country. Although the nationwide event has a walking focus, local students are encouraged to walk or bike, depending on their preference. The purpose of Walk & Bike to School Day is to inspire neighborhoods and communities to celebrate safety, health and a sense of community by gathering together and walking or biking to school.

The Town of Windsor is proud to host this annual event on the local level. For more information, contact Open Space & Trails Manager Wade Willis at 970-674-2434.
