Weather permitting, there’s work planned for a culvert along Hwy. 257 north of Main St., between the two lakes, next week, which will impact traffic along the road. The project will necessitate a lane closure and residents are advised to use an alternate route on Nov. 19 and Nov. 26-29. On these days, the highway will be reduced to one lane with flaggers stopping vehicles and alternating northbound and southbound traffic through the work area. Work impacting traffic on Highway 257 will be limited to 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.A rusted section of culvert is being repaired during next week’s traffic impact and is a continuation of the rip rap replacement along Windsor Lake that happened earlier this fall. On Nov. 19, CenturyLink is scheduled to trim trees and remove and replace two existing utility poles with taller poles in order to raise their line about 8 feet. Then, a contractor is scheduled to work on west-side culvert repair from Nov. 26 through Nov. 29.
