The Town of Windsor will begin its annual slurry seal project Monday, Sept. 18. Work is anticipated to be complete in early October, weather permitting.A slurry seal aims to extend the life of the roadway by protecting the surface from UV light deterioration and sealing small cracks that would allow water to penetrate the roadway and the roadway subgrade. Starting September 18, the town will slurry seal the following streets: • Colonial Drive• Murano Drive• Murano Court• Pumpkin Ridge• Spanish Bay Drive• Royal Country Down Drive• Caledonian Court• Bandon Dunes Drive• Park Meadows Drive• Aberdour Circle• Half Moon Bay Drive• Auburn Hills Drive• Crooked Stick Drive (Royal Country Down Drive to Spanish Bay Drive)• Hill Top Drive• Eagle Court (East)• Eagle Court (West)• Falcon Court• Osprey Court• Hawk Court• Kestrel Court• Hill Top Circle• Merlin Lane• Horned Owl Court• Barn Owl Court• Green River Drive• Riverplace Drive• Dolores River Drive• Yampa River Drive• Dolores River Court• Gore Creek Court• Colorado River Drive• Clear Creek Court• Arkansas River Drive/Court• Platte River Drive• Platte River Court• Dry Creek CourtResidents within these areas will be notified 24-48 hours prior to any work that is adjacent to their property and/or work that will impact parking. Streets will not be completely closed to traffic, however, there will be some traffic restrictions to allow the slurry seal to set up. Parking will not be allowed on the streets while work is underway, and will be clearly marked with “No Parking” signs. Existing lane markers will be removed a few days prior to the slurry seal. Temporary tabs will be installed to help delineate the locations; please use caution during this time. The public is asked to please plan accordingly, use alternate routes, and watch for signs, flaggers and cones marking the work zone.
