The new complex is located at 922 N. 15th Street, and is home to six buildings, including an administrative office building, fleet service, heated equipment storage, and two covered storage buildings. The complex also incorporates several sustainable features, including an electric vehicle charging station and solar panels.
Home to the Public Works Division — including Fleet Management, Stormwater, Streets and Water/Sewer — the facility occupies 10 out of 24 total acres, providing the division an opportunity to expand with the growing town and its needs in the future.
The $13-million facility was completed on time and on budget, without incurring debt. Additionally, the town received a $1.5-million Colorado Department of Local Affairs grant, an Energy/Mineral Impact Assistance Fund grant, and a Charge Ahead EV Charging Station grant to help support the project.
