The Windsor Art & Heritage Center will host the juried exhibition “Community Lens: From the Wild Side!” September 21 through November 19. An awards reception will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22.
“It’s exciting to have so many talented people in our area participate in this exhibit. Each photograph is wild in its own way, but the spectrum ranges greatly from places and animals to people,” said Museum Curator Caitlin Heusser.
Entries will compete for first, second, third and community choice awards of $150, $100, $75 and $75, respectively. Exhibit patrons will get the opportunity to cast their vote for the community choice award. Voting will close November 19.
The exhibit is sponsored by High Hops Brewery and Columbine Health System.
The Art & Heritage Center — located at 116 5th Street — is free and open to the public from noon to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. The Art & Heritage Center will hold extended hours on Thursdays during the Farmers Market season, staying open until 7 p.m. through September 28.
