Throughout the year, Town of Windsor employees have an opportunity to nominate each other for awards based on their effort and service to the community. Dubbed the PRIDE awards and touted for the internal promotion of town core values, the program is an acronym that stands for producing results, responsibility, integrity, dedication and exceptional service. This year, Jessica Anderson, a facilities technician for Windsor’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department received the annual PRIDE award for going above and beyond in her daily duties.
Anderson joined Windsor’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department in July 2016 and this year she was nominated and recognized for always helping customers and staff at the Community Recreation Center. When the aquatics department took over Teen Night, Anderson was the first person who volunteered to help the department run its event. Anderson helped set up, supervise the middle school students, she ran the logistics and stayed until late on a Friday night to help the aquatics staff with cleaning duties. After that particular night, Anderson still showed up early the next morning to help with Windsor Wonderland, which was all day.
