How do you convince a nation to support a war effort? From the draft and rationing, to gardening and military production, propaganda posters influenced the nation during World War II. A collection of authentic 1940s WWII posters from Georgia Southern University Museum make their Colorado debut at the Windsor Art & Heritage Center.
An opening reception for the public will be held on Friday, August 24, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments and complimentary beer from our exhibit sponsor, High Hops, will be served.

At 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, the Town hosts the grand opening and ribbon cutting for its new Main Park playground. Dubbed The Main Event, residents can be among the first to try Windsor’s new adventure playground, which includes a two-story ropes play structure combined with low ropes that enables users to climb along a course that begins at ground level and finishes with a slide from 23 feet in the air. Additional amenities include a 75 foot zip line, inclusive hammock swing, a modern version of a see saw, inclusive merry-go-round and more. The new playground is ADA, ASTM, & IPEMA compliant and appropriate for children ages 5 to 12—and it replaces the original, outdated playground installed in 1997. According to Director of Parks, Recreation & Culture Eric Lucas, “The best playgrounds provide a continuous challenge, movement and perceived risk for the user.”
