I’m rarely one to look backward instead of looking forward, but to see where we are going, we must first look at where we have been.
2019 was an incredibly exciting year in Windsor, with many great accomplishments that we should all be proud of. Windsor now has its first transit system, the Poudre Express; our downtown won the Governor’s Award for Dynamic Downtown District, which recognizes Windsor’s exemplary commitment to fostering a vibrant downtown; and, finally, after 10 years of waiting, the Windsor Mill has finally reopened, bringing with it two new businesses and the revitalization of a true Windsor landmark.
Of course, it goes without saying, with the tremendous growth we have seen over the course of this year comes tremendous responsibility. As we look forward to 2020, it is very important that we understand how we got to where we are, so we can learn from our mistakes, as well as replicate our successes.
I hope this glimpse into what our town has accomplished this past year allows us to learn and grow, and helps us to recognize how special our community really is.
