The Town of Windsor Economic Development Department is a two-person team that strives to diversify, grow and strengthen our community's local economy by working to support, attract and retain a variety of businesses in town.
According to Director of Economic Development Stacy Miller, "We're always trying to listen to what residents and visitors would like to see in Windsor. There are lots of opportunities for businesses wanting to build, expand or relocate to our community." Miller points out that working to bring business to town generally takes time and usually—when a business does not relocate to Windsor—it's for reasons outside of the team's control. "In general, businesses tend to think that Windsor is in an attractive location. New jobs are continuously being created which helps our local economy," says Miller.
Windsor is home to 13 business parks and three commercial areas with 7,000 available acres for commercial development.
Here are a few businesses that either opened or announced plans to build in Windsor:
• Springhill Suites by Marriot • Arby’s • Ziggi’s Coffee • Pizza Vino • CPP Wind • Intersand • Windsor Mill Tavern • Cacciatore at Heller’s Kitchen • Peculier Ales • Wendy’s • Canvas Credit Union • Associates in Family Medicine Urgent Care • Windsor Village • Inta Juice
