Storm Drainage

Windsor stormwater performs regular maintenance, repairs and inspects all aspects of the town's storm water drainage system to improve the quality of storm water discharged from the Town of Windsor prior to it going to a local body of water. This includes catch basins, vaults, grates, culverts, open drainage ditches, and detention ponds.

  • Catch basins and vaults are cleaned to minimize plugging due to leaves and debris either being washed or blown in form the streets.
  • Drainage ditches and detention areas are mowed and herbicides are applied to control broad leaf and noxious weeds.
  • Grates are cleaned during and after storms to remove debris, to allow storm water to enter the system and flow to the Poudre River, a detention area, waterway, or lake.
