The Town of Windsor has allocated $75,000 to support an Economic Development Mini-Marketing Grant Program. Grants up to $500 will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to Windsor businesses for marketing and advertisement. The program runs from June 1 through July 31. Applications are currently available on the town’s website at Windsorgov.com/mini-marketinggrant.
To qualify, licensed businesses must be in good standing with the Town of Windsor, be physically located in Windsor and have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. Business owners who have multiple licensed Windsor businesses will be able to qualify for as many grants as they have licenses.
Businesses can apply for the grant online and will receive a confirmation email when their application is approved.
Once approved, the business can choose to use the grant to:
- Obtain the services of a professional marketing consultant.
- Receive a one-time reimbursement for advertisements, print fulfillment or other marketing resources.
- Use the reimbursement toward a combination of consulting and advertising.
The Town of Windsor can provide recommendations for consultants based on the business’s grant application, or the business owner may choose to work with another consultant. Consultants can help businesses in a variety of areas such as copywriting, social media development, graphic design, search engine optimization, digital ad placement and sign creation.
The Town of Windsor is seeking the services of professional marketing consultants to help businesses fulfill the terms of this project. The Town of Windsor will refer businesses to a pool of marketing consultants who will work directly with each business to provide enhancements to their communications efforts. Marketing professionals interested in participating can complete the request for qualifications at windsorgov.com/bids. The submission deadline is Friday, May 29 at 2 p.m.
