Celebrate Halloween in Windsor with Upcoming Community Events

Halloween Carnival

Celebrate fall and Halloween in Windsor with free and low-cost activities for the whole family. Tour the Lakeview Cemetery, dive for a pumpkin and don’t forget to trick-or-treat at the Windsor History Museum. Here are a few upcoming events to put on your calendar.

Twilight Tours of Lakeview Cemetery: October 16-17, 23-24, and 30, 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Embark on a fun, all-original evening tour of Windsor’s historic Lakeview Cemetery with a costumed tour guide from the Town of Windsor Museums. Guided by lantern light, discover exciting and unusual stories of early Windsor pioneers who are buried in the cemetery. Windsor’s original residents will come to life during this 45-minute tour. While all tours are family-friendly for children over 8, the tours that begin at 5:30 p.m. are highly recommended for families due to cold temperatures and darkness. This tour features all-new stops that are different from last year’s tour. Register by the day before the tour for $5. All tours start and end at Lakeview Cemetery located at 32815 CO-257 in Windsor. Registration is required. Register at recreationliveshere.com/RecReg or 970-674-3500.

Pumpkin Plunge: October 30, 5-7:45 p.m.

Dive into a good time at the Windsor Community Recreation Center Pool. Swim through the water to find the perfect pumpkin to decorate. Children ages 2-12  are invited to make a splash. Pre-register by Oct. 22 for $6. Register at recreationliveshere.com/RecReg or 970-674-3500. The Windsor Community Recreation Center is located at 250 N. 11th St.

Halloween Carnival: October 31, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Visit the Windsor History Museum for exciting trick-or-treating on Halloween! The lawn in front of the museum will be transformed into a fun, free, trick-or treat path with festive fall decorations. Come dressed in your Halloween costume! Advanced registration is required. Register at recreationliveshere.com/RecReg or 970-674-3500. Face masks are recommended.
