November 1 marks the end of daylight saving time, where clocks are turned back one hour. With the time shift and seasonal light changes, outdoor lighting may need to be adjusted.
Streetlights in the Town of Windsor are owned and maintained by the power companies Xcel Energy and Poudre Valley REA. To report streetlight outages, malfunctions or damage, residents are asked to contact the power company they receive their electric bill from. To expedite requests, residents should have the name of the street or cul-de-sac the streetlight is located on and the nearest intersection.
The Town of Windsor is not able to make streetlight adjustments or repairs. They must be made by the power company that owns and operates the light. Poudre Valley REA and Xcel Energy use different style markers on light fixtures, which can help with identification.
