Windsor Plans to Distribute Relief Funds to its Weld County Businesses Impacted by COVID-19

Eligible small businesses in Windsor that have been impacted by COVID-19 restrictions might be eligible for a one-time relief payment program for their business through the COVID-19 Small Business Relief Fund approved by Senate Bill 20B-001. Windsor businesses located in Weld County will be able to apply online at www.windsorgov.com/smallbusinessrelief.  Windsor businesses located in Larimer County will be able to apply online at www.larimer.org/sbr.

Impacted small businesses include restaurants, bars, breweries, wineries, distilleries, fitness clubs, recreational sports centers, caterers, and movie theatres. Businesses must also have a reduced revenue of at least 20% due to capacity restrictions from public health orders.

The one-time relief payments will be determined by the following tiers:

  • Businesses with 2019 revenue less than $500,000 may be eligible to receive up to $3,500.
  • Businesses with 2019 revenue between $500,000 and $1 Million may be eligible to receive up to $5,000.
  • Businesses with 2019 revenue between $1 Million and $2.5 Million may be eligible to receive a payment up to $7,000.

All Windsor businesses, regardless of the county in which they reside, are encouraged to apply as soon as possible for the program. 

Windsor and Larimer County are only implementing the program for funds pertaining to the Small Business Relief portion of SB20B-001. The COVID-19 Relief program for arts, cultural and entertainment artists, crew members, and organizations through the Colorado Arts Relief Program, also a funding initiative passed by the State of Colorado Legislature is being administered by Colorado Creative Industries.
