Windsor Police, Optimist Club Host Community Bike Night

Child bikes through an obstacle course

The Windsor Police Department and Optimist Club of Windsor will host Bike Night at Boardwalk Park, Thursday, May 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. Bike Night is a free community event focused on bicycle safety. It features a youth biking obstacle course, safety stations, and giveaways such as stickers, youth helmets, and bike lights.

According to Officer Andrew Stanger, “We see more bicycle-related accidents during the summer. Our goal with this event is to educate families at the start of the season in a way that’s fun for the entire family.”

Activities and giveaways during the event will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

All of the activities take place at the Windsor Lake parking lot located off of Birch Street. The parking lot will close at 3 p.m. on the day of the event.
