Windsor Police Modify VIN Service Schedule for September, 2022

Beginning Friday, September 9, 2022, the Windsor Police Department will modify the normal vehicle identification number (VIN) verification service schedule, eliminating Friday services for the month of September. This means that VIN verification services will not be available on September 9, 16, 23, and 30.

Other municipalities and entities offer VIN verification services, often for a fee. The Colorado State Patrol is one widely available alternative for VIN verification services. Services are provided for a $50 fee and arrangements can be made by visiting the Colorado State Patrol website at https://csp.colorado.gov

Throughout the month of September, the Windsor Police Department will continue offering its regularly scheduled VIN verification services on Wednesdays from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m. on a first-come-first-served basis. For more information, visit www.windsorpd.com/vin.

Beginning in October 2022, the Windsor Police Department will resume the usual VIN inspection service schedule.
