Santa’s Arrival is Scheduled to Impact Traffic During Windsor Wonderland on Dec. 3

Santa greeting people at Windsor Wonderland by the Great Western Railway in 2021

WINDSOR, Colo. — Santa’s arrival at Windsor Wonderland will result in traffic impacts near Boardwalk Park located at 100 N. 5th St., on Dec. 3. The Town of Windsor will close 5th St. between Main St. and Boardwalk Park. Ash St. will be closed to traffic between 5th St. and 6th St. These closures will be in place on Saturday, Dec. 3 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.

“As we prepare for one of Windsor’s largest winter events, these street closures will help make this a safe environment for everyone attending the festival,” said Events Coordinator Lexie Spykstra. “The patience and understanding of our residents, businesses and those attending the event during the street closure is greatly appreciated.”

Event attendees can park in the Boardwalk Park Birch St. parking lot and the gravel lot to the south. Weather permitting, bike trails connecting throughout the town are also available for those interested in avoiding traffic.

On the day of the event, a toy drive will be set up on behalf of the Weld Elves. Attendees are encouraged to donate a gift — new, unwrapped, and or in its original package —for children ages 2 to 17 years of age.
