The Eastman Park Drive/Cornerstone Drive-Water Valley Parkway Roundabout Project is progressing and nearing completion. Phase 2 of the roundabout construction will be wrapping up on September 9th, setting up for the final phase of construction, which will begin on September 18th. Due to paving scheduling and advance progress on the other portions of the roundabout, the roundabout will look as if work is finished at times over the next couple of weeks. On September 18th, the paving contractor will begin paving portions of Eastman Park Drive and the roundabout. Starting on September 19th, the intersection/roundabout and Eastman Park Drive from State Highway 257 to 1st Street will be completely closed. The closure will be necessary to complete the paving, stripe the newly paved roadway, and install the necessary signage for the roundabout. The goal is to have Eastman Park Drive and the roundabout open by the end of day on September 21st, ahead of the projected schedule.
During the complete closure (September 19th -21st), access to and from the subdivision and businesses within the Water Valley subdivision will be from the west leg of Water Valley Parkway. Current detours will remain in place during the closure. Thanks and please be cautious!
