On July 2, 2015, at approximately 8:30 am, the task force evidence recovery team responded to the 6800 block of County Road 9 in Loveland to follow up on leads from tips they had received previously. Investigators will continue to follow up on leads and tips as they have been since this task force investigation began. To maintain the integrity of the investigation, details of these tips, leads, and evidence sought and/or recovered will not be released.

Task force investigators have been able to develop what they believe to be a depiction of a vehicle of interest. Specifically, the task force needs the public’s help in locating a 1970’s model, full-size, single cab Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck that is faded orange in color with a full-size bed. It is possibly a 1973 – 1979 model GM pickup based on the round headlight shape. The pickup is one color, faded orange, and has black primer on the driver’s side body.

The Task Force investigating the recent shooting incidents in Larimer County, Windsor, and Loveland will host a media briefing at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at the Loveland Police Department located at 810 E. Tenth Street, Loveland, Colorado 80537. Task Force spokesperson David Moore will announce new information regarding the investigation.

The Task Force is interested in talking to anyone who was near the area of E. 1st Street and St. Louis Avenue in Loveland on the night of June 3rd between 10:00 and 11:00 pm. This includes vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic in that area.
The Task Force is also interested in speaking with an individual who was driving a white Ford SUV on May 18th near Weld County Road 72 and Weld County Road 15. The Task Force believes this person may have important witness information for the investigation of the homicide in Windsor.
Task Force Commander Captain Robert Coleman has assigned a unit of the Task Force to continue investigating all reports of shattered vehicle windows in the area. To date, there is no evidence that links these reports to the three cases under investigation by the Task Force.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is now offering an increased reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest, prosecution, and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the above crimes.
Larimer County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer David Moore continues to serve as the sole point of contact for media regarding the Task Force investigations.
New information now reveals the fatal shooting of John Jacoby and Cori Romero are linked. John Jacoby was fatally shot on County Road 15 south of County Road 72 at approximately 10:00 am, May 18 where it appears he was traveling northbound on his bicycle. Cori Romero was shot while driving from East Harmony Road onto the on-ramp to southbound I-25 around 11:15 p.m. on April 22.
A formal task force has been established including the Windsor Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, both Weld County District Attorney’s Office and Larimer County District Attorney’s Office and additional resources as needed.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction. The Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and prosecution.
The Town of Windsor Police Department is asking residents to remain vigilant and be aware of their surroundings. Please report any suspicious activity to the Town of Windsor Police Department at 970-674-6400.

As of 11:30 a.m. this morning, the Windsor Police Department continues to investigate the homicide of John Jacoby. Investigators are following up on leads provided by the public. No new information is available at this time.

As of 10:00 a.m., May 19th, 2015 the investigation into the fatal shooting at County Road 15 and County Road 72 continues. The FBI is assisting the Windsor Police Department with the investigation. Area law enforcement has been notified of the situation that occurred in Windsor. The public has been helping in responding with tips and the Windsor Police Department is following-up on any information received.

PREVIOUS INFORMATION FROM 5/18/2015:
A fatal shooting occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m., May 18th, 2015 of a bicyclist traveling northbound on County Road 15 near County Road 72.
The victim was found by a passing motorist. Emergency personnel were called to the scene at which time the individual was pronounced dead. The victim was shot twice. This is being investigated as a homicide by the Town of Windsor Police Department.
The victim, John Jacoby, was 48 years old and was a part-time Park Caretaker with the Town of Windsor.
The investigation is ongoing and further updates will be provided when more information is received.
