[ARCHIVED] YOU can help shape the vision for the future of Windsor!

The Town of Windsor invites you to the Visioning Workshop, an important and exciting part of the Windsor Comprehensive Plan. At this event, you will help establish a vision of what Windsor should look like in the future. Participants will have the opportunity to put pen to paper and tell us about projects you would like to see funded, programs you think would benefit the Town, and how you think Windsor should look in the next 10 years. We encourage you to attend and help us shape a vision for our future!

Visioning Workshop
• Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2015
• Time: 7:00-8:30 PM
• Location: Windsor High School-Fireside Room (1100 Main Street, Windsor)

Windsor Comprehensive Plan
The Visioning Workshop is part of the on-going public engagement efforts in support of the Windsor Comprehensive Plan which started in early 2015. The Plan will serve as the Town’s official guide for land use and development over the next 10-20 years. It will act as a “road map,” detailing a long-term vision and policy agenda for important issues like land use, housing, parks, infrastructure, transportation, and more.

The new Comprehensive Plan will be community-driven, and its vision and policy recommendations will be grounded in community outreach. An advisory committee comprised of local residents and business owners will help guide the planning process in partnership with Town officials and a consulting team.

Keep Posted and Stay Connected
Members of the public can stay active and aware of the project as it progresses over the summer months by tracking it through the project website. The public can visit the Town’s homepage at www.windsorgov.com and simply click on the 2015 Windsor Comprehensive Plan link to the project website for more information. The project website will not only post meeting announcements but will also serve as the clearinghouse for draft documents ready for review and comment, summaries of public meetings and outreach events, and online outreach tools like the questionnaires and mapping tool. The website is an efficient resource for residents, businesses, and community stakeholders to stay engaged throughout the planning process and ensure their voice is heard at each stage of the project. We encourage you to visit the website and get involved in the planning process.
