The Town of Windsor will participate in Colorado Cities and Towns Week September 12-18, a week which highlights and celebrates the value of municipal government.
Through Colorado Cities and Towns Week, municipalities from across the state will participate in activities to showcase and celebrate cities and towns and the many services they provide, as well as acknowledge employees and volunteers for their important contributions.
“Local government provides critical services and resources that impact our community every day,” said Mayor Kristie Melendez. “Cities and Towns Week provides us an opportunity to herald our staff and volunteers who help make Windsor a great place to live.”
Events planned for the week include a touch-a-truck event at local preschools, lunch with a police officer at local elementary schools, a behind-the-scenes tour of the Community Recreation Center for local service clubs, Coffee with the Mayor, and employee and volunteer appreciation activities.
Colorado Cities and Towns Week is sponsored by the Colorado Municipal League, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization established in 1923, which represents the interests of 268 cities and towns.
