The Windsor Police Department helped residents safely dispose of 212 pounds of prescription drugs on National Drug Take Back Day Saturday, Oct. 22.

“National Drug Take Back Day gave residents an opportunity to safely dispose of expired or unused prescription drugs for free with no questions asked,” said Chief of Police Richard Klimek. “This important service provides another avenue for our community to help prevent pill abuse and theft.”

National Drug Take Back Day is in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration. The next National Drug Take Back Day will be held in spring 2017.
