The Town of Windsor, in partnership with the Center for ReSource Conservation, will hold “Water-Wise Landscaping: How to Get Started,” a water conservation seminar, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, in the Community Recreation Center’s Evergreen Room.

In the seminar, local horticulturist expert, Alison O’Connor of CSU Extension, will explore the seven principles of water-wise landscaping, and offer insider tips and tricks about plant selection, landscape design, maintenance, and much more.

The seminar aims to empower attendees to transform non-functional areas of landscape into beautiful, thriving, low-water gardens that can be enjoyed for years to come. Attendees will discover the immense aesthetic advantages and the exciting environmental benefits of water-wise landscaping — from year-round garden appeal to instrumental pollinators to water-saving techniques.

“Water-Wise Landscaping” is free and open to the public, but registration is requested due to limited space. For more details and to register, visit the  Center for ReSource Conservation website or call 303-999-3820 (x222) with any questions.

This seminar is part of the Town of Windsor’s annual water conservation program. For more information, visit the Water Conservation page.

The Community Recreation Center is located at 250 N. 11th Street.
