[ARCHIVED] Windsor Mayor Melendez Receives Leadership Training Award

Mayor Kristie Melendez

Town of Windsor Mayor Kristie Melendez was recognized with a milestone award for participation in the Colorado Municipal League’s (CML) MUNIversity Program at CML’s 95th annual conference.

MUNIversity is a leadership program for Colorado’s elected municipal officials. The program was started in January 1991 by CML’s Executive Board to recognize the efforts of officials who go the extra mile to increase their knowledge of municipal government and their capacity to lead.

Melendez was recognized for achieving the first milestone of the program, the Fundamental level. To reach this milestone, officials must complete 30 training credits.

CML is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization established in 1923 and represents the interests of 269 cities and towns. For more information on the Colorado Municipal League, please visit the CML website or call 303-831-6411.
