[ARCHIVED] Windsor Police Requests Help Identifying Theft Suspects

Theft 1

The Windsor Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying two males and their vehicle involved in a recent theft case.

On Tuesday, Aug. 22, Windsor Police received a report of an 81-year-old resident having been contacted by two men claiming to have been requested by the man’s deceased wife to complete work on his sidewalk and porch.

The two men intimidated the man into writing them a check for several thousand dollars.

One of the males and the vehicle involved are depicted in photographs below.

If members of the community have any information about the individual(s) involved, please contact Sergeant Byron Kastilahn at 970-674-6400.

Residents are asked to be aware of fraudulent scams intended to take advantage of vulnerable members of the community, and to report any suspicious activities to the Windsor Police Department at 970-674-6400.
