The Windsor Police Department, with the assistance of the Weld County Sheriff’s Office and Weld County Drug Task Force, made an arrest this morning in connection to reports of heroin being sold at 901 Foothills Court.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., Windsor Police officers served a drug search warrant at 901 Foothills Court. Pursuant to the warrant service, officers arrested 23-year-old resident Marissa Solis on charges of possession and distribution of heroin. Officers recovered heroin from the residence.
Solis is being held at the Weld County Detention Center. This case remains an active investigation, and, as such, no additional information is being released at this time.
“The heroin and opioid epidemic is not unique to any town,” said Chief of Police Richard Klimek. “Criminal drug investigations and prevention efforts require a strong partnership between the police and the community.
We appreciate all of the information our citizens continue to provide in relation to illicit drug use and distribution in our community; your efforts are contributing greatly to keeping our community safe.”
