The Town of Windsor received its ninth consecutive Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for the town’s 2016 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
According to the Government Finance Officers Association, the award “is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.”
Judged by an impartial panel, the Town of Windsor’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report was deemed to demonstrate a “’spirit of full disclosure’” to clearly communicate its financial story.”
“We’re proud to have earned this recognition,” said Director of Finance Dean Moyer. “The Finance Department strives to not only exceed national requirements, but also to provide our community transparent financial practices.”
