Monday, Dec. 31 is the final day for Windsor residents to drop off yard waste at the Brush Recycling Site, 801 Diamond Valley Dr.

The town plans to stop offering yard waste recycling at the end of the month and weather permitting, it will relocate the other part of its recycling center—which will continue to accept cardboard, low-grade paper, glass and plastics—to its Public Works facility, 922 N. 15th St., by March 1, 2019.

As part of the change, Windsor Water Utility customers will have the option in 2019 of recycling yard waste with businesses such as A1 Organics in Eaton or Hageman’s in Fort Collins to receive a one-time annual reimbursement of up to $10 by turning in a rebate application with proof of residency and purchase.

For more information about the Town of Windsor’s recycling program and to download a 2019 yard waste rebate application, visit windsorgov.com/recycling or call 970-674-2400.
