The Town of Windsor sorted materials recycling center, 801 Diamond Valley Dr., is scheduled to close for three weeks starting Sunday, February 3 as the site is prepped and relocated to its new location. The closure allows staff to safely deconstruct and relocate the recycling center to the Public Works facility, 922 N. 15th St., with an anticipated re-opening scheduled for in early February or late March, weather permitting.**Correction made: The original date for the Recycle Center to open was anticipated as Feb. 22. The date has since changed.
The temporary closure is necessary to prepare and move the cardboard compactor. Once it re-opens, the location will continue to accept cardboard, low-grade paper, glass and plastics.
