As part of a Colorado Department of Transportation regional impact study, Windsor residents and business owners are invited to a public open house that has been rescheduled from Wednesday, March 13 to Thursday, March 28,from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Windsor-Severance Fire Station #1, 100 N. 7th St.
The open house will serve as an opportunity for residents and business owners to learn more about the study and discuss ways CDOT can enhance overall safety, regional connectivity and economic vitality as it relates to the Windsor area and particularly, as it relates to both Highway 257 and Highway 392. Both highways are state owned and maintained.
In Windsor, the two well-traveled highways overlap for a mile in the town’s central business district—an area impacted by high pedestrian and bicycle use. New feasible alignments for the two highways may also be considered.
