How do you convince a nation to support a war effort? From the draft and rationing, to gardening and military production, propaganda posters influenced the nation during World War II. A collection of authentic 1940s WWII posters from Georgia Southern University Museum make their Colorado debut at the Windsor Art & Heritage Center.
An opening reception for the public will be held on Friday, August 24, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments and complimentary beer from our exhibit sponsor, High Hops, will be served.

This is a guided-bus tour that includes stops at the Northern Water Headquarters in Berthoud, the Soldier Canyon Treatment Plant, and the NISP Glad Reservoir site. Boxed lunches and water provided by Northern Water. Good walking shoes, additional water and snacks, and a hat and sunscreen are advised.
During the tour, you'll learn about the Northern Integrated Supply Project (NISP), a proposed water storage and distribution project that will supply Windsor Utility, along with 14 other Northern Front Range water providers, with 40,000 acre-feet of new, reliable water supplies. You’re invited on a special tour of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District and NISP project sites to learn more about Windsor’s water resources and related town projects.

A fun street and mountain bike ride that starts at Windsor’s Highlands Park and takes riders to the Belmont Ridge Open Space trail, Windsor’s only single-track trail. Riders should have some experience on terrain. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Unused or expired prescription medications are a public safety issue but proper disposal of unused drugs can save lives and protect the environment.
With that in mind, the Windsor Police Department, 200 N. 11th St., will help residents safely dispose of unused and expired prescription medications during Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service is in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration and is free to the public with no questions asked.
